The Harker School Security Camera setup procedure.

The procedures are different for each campus so look for the section related to your campus.

Bucknall Campus:

Navigate to http://bkncams.harker.org. The page looks like the next example.

 

Use smart client and accept all the defaults. The installer will put an icon on the desktop called Milestone XProtect Smart Client. Double click the icon and start the program. It looks like the following example. 

 

Server address=http://bkncams.harker.org , Authentication = Basic Authentication and enter your user name and password. To add or change a user: Remote desktop into http://bkncams.harker.org. Open the Management Application on the desktop. Right click on users to add or change. 

 

 

Blackford Procedure:

NOTE: This program installer is only for 32bit computers. 64bit users will need DMnetwork viewer.

Navigate to 10.30.3.1. The page looks like the example below. 


Click on the PC Viewer Application. Save to desktop and then run. Click run when the security warning comes up. Accept all defaults. This will put an icon on the desktop called Network Viewer. When you start the Network Viewer you will get the following screen. Check Domain networks and Private networks only. Click Allow Access. 

 

Go to favorites and add the Blackford site. It will look like the following screen. Enter the Name=Blackfor and the IP Address=10.30.3.1 and click add. This will add the location to the side Unit Locator. Click on the one you want and then click connect. 

 

The following screen will open to login. 

User=user and password=password. The following screen is an example of the camera view. 

 

Saratoga Procedure:

Navigate to 10.10.7.1. The page will look like the following screen for Cradle Technologies. 

Click on the offline installer. Save file to the desktop, do not run. Double click the installer on your desktop or where you downloaded it to and use all the defaults. After install do not start yet.  Navigate to www.openvpn.net. The page will look like the following page. Click on Download OpenVPN Connect for Windows. Save to the desktop.


Run the installer and use all the defaults. If you get a security warning, click the Install the driver software anyway. After install reboot. Start Cradle Watch from the desktop icon. It looks like the following screen. 

 

Click login. 

 

Setup first camera(dobbins).

Server=10.10.7.1   Check VPN, password=cradle3600,   username= admin, password=12345

For second camera (shaw)  Server=10.10.7.2   Check VPN, password=cradle3600,   username= admin, password=12345 

 

Check Domain networks and Private networks. Program will lock up sometimes. Kill the program and the java process using Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del). Restart the program.

When it works you will see the following screen. If a Security Warning comes up about VLC Player, check Domain networks and private networks. Click Allow.  


To setup the second camera, use the server address 10.10.7.2. same everything else.

 

If you get any error messages, close the program and restart. If the preview window opens but stays blank, the VLC player is the wrong version. To fix you must uninstall Cradle Watch and the VLC player. Then reinstall Cradle Watch which will install the correct version of VLC.

This ends the setup and install procedure.
